Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in North America. You will be mainly accountable for: • Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within their scope of deliverables. Ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations. • Assisting customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables. • Coordinating with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured/ staged and tested. • Coordinating with commissioning / service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned and updates the engineering deliverables post installation and commissioning (if applicable as part of the contract).
Qualifications for the role - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience.
- Experience in Power systems, Controls, Electrical Circuits, Mechatronics, and AutoCAD preferred.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
