Job Title: Accountant

Location: Remote

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in handling Professional Tax (PT) and Provident Fund (PF) operations, including the generation of challans and accurate calculations. The Accountant will be responsible for managing various financial tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

• Professional Tax (PT) Management:
• Calculate and process monthly PT payments.
• Generate and file PT challans accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with state-specific PT regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date records of PT transactions and reports.
• Provident Fund (PF) Management:
• Administer PF contributions, withdrawals, and settlements.
• Prepare and file monthly and annual PF returns.
• Generate PF challans and ensure timely submission.
• Ensure compliance with PF regulations and guidelines.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls.
• General Accounting:
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Assist in audits and liaise with auditors.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and other statutory filings.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is preferred.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience in accounting, with a focus on PT and PF.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
